Hon. Hiller B. Zobel (Ret.) served as an Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Superior Court for more than 26 years, d uring which time he presided over and resolved thousands of complex cases of virtually every size, kind, and complexity. Prior to his service on the bench, Judge Zobel engaged in the full time practice of law with specialties in personal injury litigation, libel, and maritime litigation. Judge Zobel also was a tenured professor of law at Boston College Law School where he taught courses in civil procedure, evidence, copyright, admiralty,
trial practice, and judicial process. Judge Zobel is the author of numerous scholarly articles on law and history and of several books including the authoritative treatise, Massachusetts Rules Practice (with J. Smith), and Doctors and the Law. Judge Zobel is available for mediation and arbitration of all matters involving business or employment controversies, professional malpractice disputes, land use issues and personal injury claims.
